We Like to Party

20-04-P404-00We might all be looking forward to the quick move from winter into spring, but many winter festivities are still in full swing! There’s something about the drab winter months that makes us prone to party…and we love it! Whether you are going to a sweet Valentine’s gathering or a swanky winter cocktail party, make sure your bling is the life of the party!

One of the most popular winter trends is faux fur. We’ve seen Kim Kardashian, Helen Mirren, and the iconic Kate Moss all rocking faux fur during this snowy season. There is something about a fur jacket or scarf that can take an outfit from boring and drab to winter chic. Faux fur has a certain elegance about it, making the cold season a little more warm and a lot more glamorous. Rock your winter parties with a fur vest or coat to warm up the room and keep winter glamour alive! Pair your furry ensemble with a beautiful ring like the carnelion or the black rhodium for extra glam. Fur can highlight and complement any beautiful jewel, making it the perfect companion for a whole lot of bling.

Another festive winter trend is a patterned stocking or tight. Pairing a simple short or plain dress with a festive pair of tights can be just the perfect look for a holiday party. With one main accent piece, an outfit like this also allows you to showcase accessories. Try the pink amethyst and citrine necklace to add subtle color and sparkle to the look, or any stackable rings, piling on as many as it takes to add eclectic shine and interest to your look.  Shiny, interesting or even bold pieces are a great fit with textured or patterned tights: achieving just enough of a contrast to complete a stylish combination worth throwing a party for!

A winter party favorite of mine is sequins. Whether it is minimal, cascading sequins on the front of your favorite party dress or a fierce pair of sequined leggings, the shine of sequins can take on a classy cold-weather party all on their own. Sequins are a classic and effortless go-to party look.

Your favorite part of all those winter parties might be the cocktails, yummy hot treats, or music, but the best part of all festivities is the sparkle! Shine, and party on!
